The Hr NETWORK National Awards 2009 took place last week at a glittering Gala Dinner which saw award presentations made to a range of HR, people development and management professionals.
GoodPractice have been a strong supporter and sponsor of the awards for several years now and joined over 600 of Scotland’s top HR professionals at the awards ceremony, at the Glasgow Hilton.
GoodPractice would like to extend its warm congratulations to all the winners (listed below) in recognition of their great achievements, and contributions to championing and developing the impact of HR throughout Scotland. In particular, we would like to congratulate Renfrewshire Council in partnership with Improvement Service, who beat off strong competition to scoop the award for Strategic People Development Project of the year for the development of its Customer Service Professional Qualifications.
Commenting on their winning project, Michael Moran, Renfrewshire Council, states: “The development of the Qualifications has been possible through effective collaborative working across local government, exemplary leadership from Renfrewshire Council, clear direction from the National CRM board, chaired by Alex Linkston, Chief Executive, West Lothian Council, support from the Scottish Qualifications Authority and other partners including eCom Scotland Limited and, of course, positive contributions from a number of individuals including my Renfrewshire Council colleagues, Steven McNab and Joyce Mclean and Improvement Service colleagues, Martin Brown and Bill Pearson. The receipt of this prestigious award reflects these many contributions and we value each.16 Scottish councils, with more in the pipeline, are now offering these SQA-certificated qualifications to their staff.”
