Team Working: an Anathema to Academics?

GoodPractice is pleased to announce the publication of our research article Team Working: an Anathema to Academics? in the Leadership Foundation’s In Practice magazine. The article has been researched and written by our HR editor, Stefania Scott, and is based on in-depth interviews with a number of UK Higher Education institutions. Her research investigates the particular challenges of encouraging team working in what can be a rarefied academic environment, and includes the development of three detailed case studies featuring the Open University, the University of Sunderland and the ‘Working Lives’ research team. The article’s findings are similarly applicable to high-level team working within other specialist professions. We hope you find it of interest.
